Nostalgia with a Playful Twist

Katoriwala is an Indian snack brand that has taimed to deliver authentic, high-quality Indian flavors while embracing a lighthearted personality. With a mission to stand out in the crowded snack industry, Katoriwala sought a bold brand identity that combined tradition with a vibrant, playful energy. The challenge was to create a brand that was both deeply rooted in Indian culture and at the same time connected to modern snack lovers.

Most Snacked in the Saturated Snack Market

The snack industry is filled with heritage-rich brands and mass-market competitors. Katoriwala needed to differentiate itself from other traditional Indian snack brands while maintaining authenticity. The brand also had to balance a modern, playful identity with its cultural heritage. Additionally, the branding needed to create a memorable experience that spoke to the nostalgia-driven consumers as well as younger snack lovers who were looking out for something fresh and exciting.

Bringing Fun Onboard with Tradition

Confetti’s approach to Katoriwala’s branding blended authenticity with playfulness, making sure the brand felt relatable and at the same time exciting and something new. By infusing the Jester archetype, Confetti created an identity that was humorous, and inviting—allowing consumers to associate snacking with fun, joy, and ultimately, childhood nostalgia. This approach helped Katoriwala’s ensure that their brand would stand out and also create a memorable experience for eaters.

Katoriwala’s brand strategy was built upon three core pillars. First, authenticity and quality were prioritized to reinforce the brand’s dedication to traditional recipes and premium ingredients.
